Equal Opportunity Advisor's (EOA) Handbook.. This handbook provides a quick reference guide to assist recent Army graduates of the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI) in performing the mechanics of their job as EOAs. The handbook includes the most current information on equal opportunity, prevention of sexual harassment and helpful tips. It was distributed in July 1997.

Entry Level EO Training Support Package (TSP). The entry level TSP is for new individuals just entering the military service. It is an eight hour training support package that provides each new soldier with the basic knowledge of EO. It encompasses policy, ethnic and gender awareness, behaviors that violate Army policy, the EO complaint system, appeals, prevention of sexual harassment and techniques dealing with discrimination.

Basic Leaders Training Support Package (TSP). This TSP provides basic leaders (OCS, ROTC, PLDC, and BNCOC) with information on how to support and enforce compliance with the Army's EO program, policies and procedures. Focus of training is on leader objectives, responsibilities, and the actions required for identification and resolution of EO problems. Special emphasis is placed on the leader roles in resolving discrimination issues, prevention of sexual harassment, the complaint process and how to correct deficiencies.

Platoon Training Support Package (TSP). This TSP is designed for squad and platoon leaders (ANCOC, OBC, WOBC) and is follow-on for that received at the basic leader level. Training focuses on program components, elements, principles, behaviors and actions that violate EO policies, sexual harassment, prevention of reprisals, leader roles in resolving complaints, and platoon leaders duties and responsibilities.

Company Level Training Support Package (TSP). Training designed for company level leaders (OAC, FSC, WOAC) and focuses on policies, concepts, leader roles and responsibilities, identification and resolution of EO problems, complaints, sexual harassment, problem solving, and creating and manipulating a healthy EO climate.

Battalion/Brigade Level Training Support Package (TSP). This TSP is designed for battalion and brigade leaders. Training emphasizes the senior leader role, actions, and responsibilities for implementing EO programs, monitoring and assessing command climates, and affirmative action plans.

Equal Opportunity in the Military Correspondence Course. This correspondence course provides training to military and civilian personnel on the Army's EO Program. This training includes the full scope of EO subject matter from program concept, prevention of sexual harassment, promoting ethnic and gender awareness, individual and group behavior issues, intervention and action planning, resolving interpersonal conflict, complaints, climate assessment, Army affirmative actions and extremism. Will be updated after approval of new AR 600-20.

Drill Sergeant Course Training Support Package (TSP). This TSP is designed for use by the Drill Sergeant Course in training drill sergeant candidates in their responsibilities for implementing and supporting the Army's EO Program. Training focus is on trainee to drill sergeant relationships, instilling the mutual respect, trust, and confidence of new soldiers, policies, procedures and prevention of sexual harassment.

TRADOC Cadre Training Course (CTC) EO Training. This lesson provides company level leaders, assigned to TRADOC installations, instruction on EO/POSH. Training discusses policy, TRADOC unique issues, procedures, and roles and responsibilities in carrying out the Army's EO and POSH Programs.

TRADOC Pre-Command Course (PCC) EO Training. This lesson provides battalion and brigade level leader, assigned to TRADOC installations, instruction on EO/POSH. Training includes policy, principles, roles and responsibilities, and TRADOC unique issues.

EO Representative's Course (EORC), The Equal Opportunity Representative Course is a 10-day training course. It is designed to train students to become Equal Opportunity Representatives (EORs). The course is also designed to ensure individuals selected to perform EOR duties are trained to the same level and standards, regardless of location.  This course provides the minimum training required for EORs to fulfill their duties and responsibilities. Graduates of this training course will have a better understanding of EO issues. They will also be knowledgeable of current trends and strategies necessary to          effectively assist their commander in carrying out the unit EO program.

The following briefings are not intended to be all inclusive but may be used as a framework for commanders to build upon when tailoring their own EO Program and briefings.
